What is More Than Words Ministries, Inc.?

What is unique about More Than Words Ministries? A friend recently introduced Gary this way, “Gary is not only a prophet but he is also a theologian.” This introduction embodies the answer to the question. The ministry of More Than Words is based on the strong gifts of teaching and prophecy working in a unique combination. Not only do Gary and Sandy both teach but they embody the essence of Nehemiah 8:8 which says, “They read from the Book of the Law of God and clearly explained the meaning of what was being read, helping the people understand each passage.” Gary in particular has a way of making the deep things of God simple for people to understand and Sandy speaks from a woman’s heart to the listener’s heart. Furthermore their teachings are practical, imparting the Issachar anointing (1 Chronicles 12:32) so that people know what to do.

But this alone would not make More Than Words Ministries unique. That comes when the prophetic is added to the teaching. Teaching alone often leaves God’s people full but without nutrition. Faith must be added to knowledge for it to be useful and for it to produce life as noted in the second half of Hebrews 4:2 – “…but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.” Many have commented on how Gary and Sandy cause them to have faith. This is particularly evident when they minister prophetically.

When these three elements are combined as they are in More Than Words Ministreis the miraculous process noted in Romans 12:2 takes place – “…be transformed by the renewing of your mind.…” This combined presentation of the teaching and the prophetic in simple, practical formats is what makes More Than Words Ministries unique.

It is through this unique combination that Gary and Sandy prepare God’s people for their future in the Kingdom.
